Abstract

In this paper we present the res nils of tests for the higliT, superconductingHTS) power cables and analysis of FITS pavfor transmission system in Korea. A prototype HTS tables have been constructed using 1UI223 based Agshcallied HTS tapes. The prototype cable has been testet) at 77K with DC currents. Results shows that the cable carrying up to 73 OA DC and analyzed the feasibility of HTS power trsmsmission system at Seoul area in Korea. According to analysis results, HTS power system can be reduced 5.2%9.7% of the underground transmission lines compared to conventional cable system in Seoul, Korea and HTS power cable is feasible in future power system.
