Abstract

We propose a new channel-estimation method in a multicarrier-code division multiple access system with chip interleaving. This new method works with code-multiplexed pilot channels and data-dependent pilot symbols, where the reliability of the estimated channel gain is increased by the noise averaging effect. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed method is comparable to the minimum mean-square error estimation method with less computation complexity.
