Abstract

We propose a quantized time reversal (TR) prefilter for an indoor wireless communication system with the channel estimation error. The transmitter with the TR prefilter needs the prefect channel impulse response (CIR) to set the TR prefilter. In a practical system, there are some errors in channel feedback information from the receiver. The quantized TR prefilter uses the quantized CIR from the feedback information of the receiver. Thus, the quantized TR prefilter is simpler than the TR prefilter to implement in a digital form and it is less sensitive to the channel estimation error. Moreover, the transmitter needs only the quantized CIR as the feedback information. Simulation results show that the proposed quantized TR prefilter achieves the bit error rate performance similar with the TR prefilter.
