A routing protocol considering both energy efficiency and link stability in mobile Ad Hoc network

Abstract

In mobile Ad Hoc networks (MANET), mobile nodes are connected with each others having limited battery capacity. The network topology of MANET is frequently changed because of residual energy of mobile nodes as well as movement of mobile nodes. That is, each mobile nodes communicate each other by depending on battery and the shortest path is only maintained during short time in Mobile Ad-hoc Network. So energy efficiency and link stability is very important in Mobile Ad Hoc Network. For that reason, we suggest A Routing Protocol considering Both Energy Efficiency and Link Stability in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (BeELS). The BeELS considers residual battery capacity and signal strength. Simulation result shows that BeELS can use the energy efficiently and stable route.
