A study on the wideband lens amplifier for spatial power combining

Abstract

In this paper, a wideband lens amplifier is proposed as a spatial power combiner for C-band services. The proposed lens amplifier has a tile-tray hybrid structure that can solve isolation, wideband, and heat-sink problems. Also, it has a balanced amplifier structure which has many benefits, such as high output power, but remains a simple circuit configuration without a balun.
