A wireless identification system with an efficient antenna based on passive SAW devices

Abstract

A wireless identification system based on SAW devices is presented. To reduce degradation of the antenna performance associated with the piezoelectric materials with a good electro-mechanical coupling property, an efficient design of the transponder is required. By measuring parameters of the SAW ID tag, the performance was tested by experimentation.
