N2 - Fast handover is introduced to reduce service disruption time during the handover. But, the delay in Duplicate Address Detection (DAD) and the route optimization may cause problems even in fast handover. We propose an enhanced fast handover scheme called pre-binding update algorithm by using IP address of the new access router. The proposed algorithm cannot need DAD during the handover. Therefore, it can improve the handover latency even when mobile station is moving fast.
