An error pattern estimation scheme for iterative receiver in MIMO systems

Abstract

We consider an error pattern estimation scheme which provides lower complexity and improved error performance for iterative receiver. While conventional iterative receiver only considers fixed number of iterations, proposed scheme operates iterations adaptively by removing unnecessary iterations and applying an error correction scheme. Based on simulation results, proposed scheme reduces both computational complexity and frame error rate compared with conventional scheme.
