Bandwidth-enhancement approach for a small-sized harmonic-suppressed antenna

Abstract

In this paper, an approach for bandwidth enhancement of a small-sized harmonic-suppressed antenna is presented. For bandwidth enhancement and miniaturization of the harmonically suppressed slot antenna, a bowtie-shaped meander slot antenna is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. From the measured results, the proposed antenna has a wideband characteristic with a harmonic-suppression characteristic at the 2nd and 3rd frequencies.
