Direction Finding by Time-Modulated Array with Antenna Characteristic Analysis

Abstract

In this paper, the effect of antenna performance in direction finding by Time-Modulated Array(TMA) is analyzed in terms of accuracy. By changing the directivity and main lobe direction of each receiving antenna, the accuracy of the direction finding is improved. As a result of the analysis through Root Mean Square Error(RMSE), the accuracy is improved to 70% compared with using isotropic antenna.
