Abstract

Dual-beam reflectarray antenna for polarized division multiple access is presented with a reflective unit cell using coupled delay line. The unit cell, designed at 11 GHz using a simple patch structure with two substrate layers, can be made to generate two states with 180° phase difference and 0.3 dB reflection loss. Three reflectarray antennas were fabricated to demonstrate that they could form two independent beams. The reflectarray antennas have beam-forming within ±30 range and are obtained with a aperture efficiency of 10.2 % at 11 GHz.
