Effect of a rotating electrode on the formation of single-walled carbon nanotubes

Abstract

The effect of rotating anode was investigated on the formation of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) using the plasma rotating electrode process. The diameter distribution of SWNTs was shifted toward smaller diameters and the yield of SWNTs increased with the rotation of the anode. These changes were attributed to the change of dicharge characteristics by rotation of the anode.
