Abstract

Several carbon supported Pt catalysts were prepared by varying surface properties of support and tested for methylene chloride oxidation. They were investigated by BET, TPD, pH analysis and XPS. The Pt species would stabilize when the surface carbon was pregraphitized due to the π sites of basal plane.
