N2 - In this paper, when a timing offset occurs within a cyclic prefix, we describe a linear interpolation with phase compensation for preventing a performance degradation due to the timing offset in the comb-type pilot-aided OFDM systems. With the performance analysis, the phase value which is needed for the phase compensation is derived. By means of the simulation results, we show that the channel estimation is accurate, using the phase compensation with optimal phase value.
