N2 - We explore the possible enhancement of the direct (Formula presented)-violating parameter (Formula presented) in the general left-right model based on the (Formula presented) gauge group. The mixing matrix of right-handed quarks, (Formula presented) is observable in the left-right model, and provides a new source of the (Formula presented)-violating phase. We calculate the parameter (Formula presented) in the left-right model and show that the new phases from (Formula presented) can yield a sizable contribution to the direct (Formula presented) violation, enough to satisfy the recent measurements of (Formula presented) from Fermilab KTeV and CERN NA48 experiments.
