Abstract

Evidence is presented for two JP=2- strange mesons; one at ∼ 1.77 GeV/c2 and the other at ∼ 1.82 GeV/c2. These states have been observed in a partial wave analysis of the Kω system in the reaction K-p→K-π+π-π0p where the strange mesons decay into K-ω and the ω then decays to π+π-π0. The data set contains ∼ 105 Kωp events at 11 GeV/c taken by the LASS spectrometer at SLAC.
