### Abstract

We study [Formula Presented] production in kaon-nucleon [Formula Presented] and nucleon-nucleon [Formula Presented] interactions by assuming that the [Formula Presented] is an isosinglet with [Formula Presented] Possible t-channel diagrams with [Formula Presented] exchange are considered in both reactions as well as K exchange in NN reactions. The cross section for [Formula Presented] which has not been considered in previous calculations, is found to be about a factor of 5 larger than that for [Formula Presented] due to the large coupling of the [Formula Presented] interaction. The cross sections are obtained by setting [Formula Presented] and varying the ratio of [Formula Presented] so that future experimental data can be used to estimate these couplings. We also find that the isospin relations hold for these reactions.
