Abstract

The radio over fiber system that transmits 63-GHz-band and baseband signals simultaneously based on WDM system is proposed. 63-GHz tone is generated by optical carrier suppression method using MZM. RSOAs are used for uplink and downlink signal modulation. BER performance and RF spectrum are analyzed for observing downlink and uplink transmission characteristics. An error free transmission of both downlink and uplink signals are achieved after 23-km SSMF.
