Abstract
The application of graphene oxide is wide ranging. Although it is known to be toxic to cells, its exact effect on cells remains an open question. In this issue of Chem, Dichtel and coworkers show that graphene oxide stimulates the ruffling and shedding of plasma membrane of several mammalian cell lines.
