Abstract

A new type of fluorescent diarylethene oligomer was synthesized by connecting diarylethene unit with PPV through Wittig polycondensation reaction. Such connections of PPV with diarylethene unit are an effective strategy for obtaining dual functionality of photochromism and fluorescence with high φF.
