Innovative system model of the shared services for IT SMEs in Korea

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze current strategies and roles of the shared service which is in progress, introduced by Ministry of information and communication in Korea and to examine distinctions of the shared service compare to existing IT relating SME programs. Throughout rapid enlargement of ICT network, our day-to-day business environments tend to transform into a digitalized and ubiquitous business environment. Thereof, information technologies are taking great roles by establishing high degrees of industrial structures as well as assigning motivations for driving economic growth contributing national competitiveness. Thus, global market competitions based on the borderless economy today, is becoming one of the important matter within every country in order to strengthen domestic industries by supporting IT related SMEs to encourage R&D. This study was conducted based on literature reviews and interviewed agencies who are servicing the shared service and IT SMEs.
