Abstract

In this paper, a microstrip reflectarray antenna element having insensitive polarization characteristic is proposed. The element is combined hexa-pole and double rings. The size of the element is half-wavelength and phase curve is achieved by variation of radius of inner ring for X-band. The total phase range is 583.94 degrees at center frequency (10 GHz) for X-band. The phase curves of the proposed element is analyzed for various e-field vector angles of incident wave and it has almost the same characteristic for any polarization.
