Abstract
The application of a class of nonbinary convolutional codes called dual-K codes is considered. This is frequently used in frequency hopped M-ary FSK(FH/MFSK) systems over the channel subject to fading or partial-band interference. This paper proposes the recursive systematic form of dual-K convolutional codes and symbol-by-symbol maximum a posteriori (MAP) decoder for iterative decoding.
