Abstract
We propose a new method for the precise determination of (Formula presented) from the ratios of branching ratios (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) These ratios depend only on the ratio of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) elements (Formula presented) with little theoretical uncertainty, when very small isospin breaking effects are neglected. As is well known, (Formula presented) equals (Formula presented) for the CKM version of (Formula presented) violation within the standard model. We also give in detail analytical and numerical results on the differential decay width (Formula presented) and the ratio of the differential rates (Formula presented) as well as (Formula presented) and (Formula presented)
