Abstract

The quantitative aminolysis reactions were successfully achieved by reacting PBLA with a variety of primary amines.The specific rotations of the poly(aspartamide) derivatives synthesized by this reaction depend on the initial condition of the hyper structure of PBLA in the solvents. The mechanism of this reaction may occur not just only through the ester-amide exchange on the side chain but also through the transformation involving α -methine and β -methylene, which also effect the specific rotation.
