Metallic impurities are responsible for electrocatalytic behavior of carbon nanotubes towards sulfides

Abstract

The observed "electrocatalytic" effect for the electrochemical oxidation of the sulfide group in sodium hydrogen sulfide on the SWCNTs-modified electrodes can be attributed to the presence of nickel-based metallic impurities present within the CNTs.
