Abstract

An artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) with split ring resonator (SRR) loading is proposed. The SRR loading is realised on a planar structure using three dielectric layers. The proposed AMC can be designed to have much lower resonant frequency compared to a conventional mushroom-type AMC with the same unit cell size.
