Modeling and analysis of optical interconnect systems using equivalent circuit models

Abstract

The SPICE models of optical interconnect systems including optical devices and electric circuits were implemented. Spice simulation was employed for the investigation of the performance and relationship between system parameters. The relation between transmitter power dissipation and transmission bit rates were determined for different bias levels. The optimal bias condition was achieved for optical interconnect systems containing many complex electric circuits.
