Abstract

We propose a novel multi-dimensional optical transmission based on direct detection system using a single wavelength. The quadrature-amplitude-modulation, the polarized-intensity-rotational-frequency-shift-keying, and the differential-phase-shift-keying are modulated simultaneously. The BER performances of the proposed scheme were analyzed.
