Observation of orbital angular momentum transfer to particles trapped in a Mathieu beam

Abstract

We observe the transfer of orbital angular momentum to trapped particles in a nondiffracting Mathieu beam with a linear array of vortices with unitary topological charge distributed along the interfocal line of its elliptical rings.
