Abstract

A technique of suppressing optical beat interference (OBI) noise in OFDMA PON is proposed and verified experimentally by applying RF clipping tone. We achieve reliable 8Gbit/s 20km uplink transmission with spectral efficiency 2.7bit/s/Hz.
