Abstract

We investigated nonlinear characteristics and applications of WS2 for mode-locked fiber laser. The saturable absorber was prepared by transferring the synthesized CVD WS2 onto a fabricated side-polished fiber. WS2 showed promising potential for ultrafast-pulse generation.
