Abstract

In this paper, new and general-purpose PCB-embedded filters with small features have been proposed to suppress spurious power level outside a carrier frequency of GSM band. They are fabricated on FR4 substrates and their emission powers are evaluated at the harmonic frequencies. The result shows that significant improvements of 6 ∼ 13dB is achieved for the proposed composite structures. This type of study is helpful to obtain the sufficient design margins during manufacturing a PCB.
