Abstract

In this paper, we propose the perceptual priority based packet scheduling scheme to fulfill low delay and high visual quality performance of a live surveillance system. For this goal, we adaptively control the proportion between high and low priority packets which are divided by the visual importance according to the channel condition. In the simulation results, we demonstrate an improved performance of our proposed packet scheduling scheme.
