Abstract
Xerographic photoconductivity of 3,5-dinitrobenzoates of poly[1-(p-methoxyphenyl)penta-1,3-diyn-5-o1], poly[1-(2′-methoxyphenyl)penta-1,3-diyn-5-o1] and [DN-1,2-PMDO, DN-1,4-PMDO and DN 1,4-PDDO] is dependent on the electron donating side chains. from the transient photoconductivity signal on a sub-nanosecond time scale a plausible mechanism for the charge carrier generation and charge transporting properties of these polymers is proposed.
