Preparation, characterization and biological significance of PEG-b-PET block catiomers as efficient synthetic vectors

Abstract

Poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino] ethyl aspartamide) (PEG-DET) is an efficient synthetic vector, which was found in our laboratory. In this study, the efficient transfection and low cytotoxicity of PEG-DET was clarified from the viewpoint of its chemical structure. Also, the biological significance of PEG-DET was demonstrated from the viewpoint of its transfection efficiency and cytotoxicity to various cell lines including primary culture cells.
