Abstract
Fibrous titanium silicalite-1(FTS-1) was formed from nano particles of TS-1. For the synthesis of nano TS-1 particles, hydrothermal synthesis at atmospheric pressure was attempted. Formation of FTS-1 seems to depend on the amount of remaining TPAOH, the size, and the dispersion conditions of TS-1 particles. The nano TS-1 particles(<150nm) modified by TPAOH play an important role for the formation of FTS-1. During the drying and evaporation processes at 100°C, the surface modified TS-1 particles form a 2-dimensional aggregate by the capillary force and the dehydroxylation among the TS-1 particles. 29Si CP/MAS n.m.r. demonstrated very clearly that sintering of TS-1 particles mainly takes place with the condensation reaction of surface hydroxyl group.
