N2 - In CO2 capture, CO2 is collected from large point sources, e.g., power plants, oil refineries, petrochemical facilities, fertilizer and gas-processing plants, steel works and pulp and paper mills that can be reused or sequestered. Several candidate CO2 solvents were screened. O2 loading capacity, effective loading, absorption rate, and desorption rate were compared. Characteristics of the best CO2 solvent were discussed. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 2007 AIChE Annual Meeting (Salt Lake City, UT 11/4-9/2007).
