Abstract
In this paper, we design and develop a low cost but high gain millimeter-wave (mmWave) series-fed microstrip patch array antenna module for Cellular Access Point (CAP) that operates at 28 GHz. Our proposed antenna is easy to match impedance because it applies isosceles trapezoid rather than rectangular to the shape of the line that connects each patch antenna. It is low-cost because it can be developed using standard organic printed circuit board (PCB) processes too. Proposed antenna module improves the efficiency significantly. Experimental results show that the gain of our proposed antenna module is as high as 15.54 dBi.
