Abstract

Novel in-line saturable absorber using graphene-filled hollow optical fiber is proposed for efficient fiber laser mode-locking. The mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser generates femto-second pulses of 5.9-nm spectral bandwidth with output power up to 80 mW.
