Abstract

SVD pre/post-rake structure, a promising technique for TDD CDMA systems, achieves optimal capacity over frequency selective fading channels when the water-filling solution is applied for power allocation. In this paper, we propose an SVD pre/post-rake structure with adaptive trellis coded modulation technique for practical implementation. The simulation results show that the SVD pre/post-rake outperforms other rake structures in high data rate communication. It is because the multiplexed transmission is utilized by the SVD pre/post-rake and an appropriate modulation is chosen based on the channel state.
