Abstract

Doxorubicin-loaded PEG-PLGA-Au halfshell nanoparticles provide multifunctions, such as photothermal treatment, photo thermally controlled drug delilvery, and in vivo optical imaging. In addition, the combined doxorubicin and photothermal treatments using these multifunctional nanoparticles show synergistic therapeutic effects.
