The BCS superconductivity in the functional Schrodinger picture revisited

Abstract

We reconsider a functional Schrödinger picture formulation of the BCS superconductivity using the so-called holomorphic (Floreanini and Jackiw) realization. In particular, we get the Gaussian form of the ground state wavefunctional which gives the same results as the previous formulation using the realization of Duncan, Meyer-Ortmanns, and Roskies. We clarify the relation between those two realizations.
