Abstract

This paper deals with the design and analysis of pyramidal microstrip antenna for GPS application in order to find the direction of arrival of signals. The 4 antenna elements are implemented on inclined walls to reduce coupling between antenna elements. Because of the inclined walls, antenna array is able to have a reduced diameter. Moreover, a monopole auxiliary antenna is added to compensate channel imbalance between the four receivers put behind antennas. Measured coupling balance between channels was within ±1.2dB.
