Top mass and CP violation from universal Yukawa interactions

Abstract

A new set of quark mass matrices is proposed, based on a simple perturbation of a universal Yukawa interaction. The CP violation parameters are predicted to be JCP=(0.3±0.2)×10-4 and ε′ ε=(0.6±0.5)×10-3. The model also predicts a top quark not much heavier than ∼ 100 GeV.
