Abstract
The triplet state Raman spectra of C60 and C70 in toluene were obtained using the pump/probe technique. For C60, new bands at 1461 and 1475 cm-1 appeared around 1470 cm-1 in the triplet state. The Raman peaks at 1448 and 1368 cm-1 for C70 shifted to lower frequencies due to the increase in antibonding character in the electronically excited state.
