Wideband microstrip antennas for PCS/IMT-2000 services

Abstract

The wideband aperture coupled 2×2 array microstrip antenna is proposed for the PCS/IMT-2000. The measured return loss bandwidth is 11.3% and 14.3% for VSWR ≤ 1.5 and the isolation characteristics is below -30dB throughout the operating bandwidths. Cross polarization level is around -20dB with the 45° rotated patches.
